Welcome Home Elder Lynn

Let me start off with this: I love missionaries. I love how selfless they are. I love how helpful and sweet they can be, and I love that even though they leave their families for two years, they are ALWAYS so cheerful and happy. If it wasn't for missionaries, I wouldn't have been baptized. One of these days I will get around to writing about my conversion story, but until then, just know that I have a true testimony in missionary work and the blessings that come from serving a full-time mission. It just might be one of my favorite things about being LDS.
That being said, last night I got to photograph my sister in law's brother coming home at the airport. It was so fun to see all the love and excitement that was there for Skyler and I'm really honored to have been able to get it on camera. Enjoy! xoxo

I loved this moment! Molly, his girlfriend, waited for him the entire time he was gone. When they were notified that his plane had landed she started to get a little teary eyed. Her "most-likely-soon-to-be sister in law", was right there for her to comfort her. It was too sweet to not capture.
He is home!

Meet Baby Oakley

I had the amazing opportunity to do another labor session last week, and I am so excited to share it with you guys! This family was the cutest! This was their first baby and the excitement and anticipation for their little boy to make his appearance just filled the room! The mom did such an amazing job and the husband was there with her every step of the way. It's sessions like this that confirm why I do what I do. To some people, birth photography may be weird and different... But to me, it is my passion. From the first labor session I ever did, I knew the moment I started that THIS is what I want to be capturing. There in nothing quite like it and I just love every single moment of it. I hope you all enjoy these as much as I did! xoxo

Welcome Baby Lucas

I had the great opportunity last night of photographing another birth session. This family was my first "non-related" labor client so I had some early jitters, however those disappeared as soon as I met this beautiful couple. They were so inviting and sweet to me, and it was such a treat to be a part of this moment. The mom ended up needing a C-Section, which I was not allowed to photograph. Although I was not able to be a part of the birth, it was an honor to do the before and after. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do! xoxo

This was the mom being wheeled off into the OR. She was such a champ about the emergency C Section and was a good sport about everything!

The most exciting part of all of this, was that they decided to wait to find out the gender! It ended up being a sweet baby boy!
